A pedestrian was hit and killed along Austell Road Wednesday in south Cobb County, police said.

Cobb dispatchers received a call about the crash, between Perkerson Mill and Clay roads, about 5:30 a.m.

The investigation into the crash temporarily shut down all lanes until just after 8:40 a.m., according to the Cobb County Department of Transportation.

No other details, including the name of the pedestrian, were released.
