An overturned truck has closed traffic in both directions on Roberts Drive in Sandy Springs, police said Saturday morning. Also, power was out for many residents in the area, according to the Georgia Power outage map.

The single-car accident happened when the driver hit and knocked down a power pole near Sumner Crossing, police spokesman Michael Lindstrom said.

The driver left the area before emergency crews arrived, Lindstrom said. Roberts Drive will be closed until Georgia Power can erect another pole.
