The Henry County coroner has identified a driver killed in a fiery tractor-trailer crash that shut down both directions of I-75 early Tuesday.

Clarence Watts, 61, of Jacksonville, Fla., was traveling in the right southbound lane when the tractor-trailer veered left and overturned, authorities said.

A fuel line ruptured and caught fire.

“The driver did not escape the vehicle and is deceased,” Henry County police Sgt. Danny Gibbs said.

The interstate was shut down for much of Tuesday’s morning commute.
