Saturday’s 7 p.m. opening game for Mercedes-Benz Stadium has many important factors. And as with any other major event in Atlanta, traffic is one of them.

The stadium powers that be offer advice on using public transportation, ride sharing and smartphone technology to navigate your way to 1 AMB Drive 30313, which is the formal address.

The new stadium is not far from the Georgia Dome, the Atlanta Falcons’ former home stadium. So the same traffic patterns and routes still apply.

The options:

MARTA: The Georgia World Congress Center/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station is advised as an arrival and departure point, according to the stadium website.

LYFT: The stadium offers "zones" for ride sharing. You can leave the stadium at Gate 1 to access the largest Lyft zone, which is inside the Blue Lot on Northside Drive. You can walk north and follow the signs. The secondary location is at Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Andrew Young International Boulevard and can be accessed from Gates 2, 3 or 4.

WAZE: If you drive, this smartphone app is recommended by stadium officials and is the only GPS program with event-day traffic plans and street closures built in. Using other mapping software is discouraged by stadium website information.
