Two people were killed late Friday night when their car crossed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a pickup truck in DeKalb County, police said.

About 11:30 p.m., a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria going south on Allgood Road lost control, police spokesman Jerry Lewis said in a statement.

“The vehicle was struck by a northbound Ford F250,” Lewis said. “The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria and his passenger (a woman) both died at the scene.”

No identities or other details were released.
