The incident was reported just after 2:20 a.m. on I-75 North at Barrett Parkway, Cobb police said.

Camden Jones, 23, of Macon, was driving a silver 2005 Toyota 4Runner northbound when he veered into the left emergency lane and tried to make a sharp right turn, Sgt. Wayne Delk said.

Instead, Camden lost control of the truck.

He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died, Delk said.
