One person was hurt shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday when a car collided with a school bus, officials said.

The accident happened on Taylor School Road at Ga. 20 in north Gwinnett County, police spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said. The bus belonged to Taylor Elementary School.

One lane on the southbound side was open about 4 p.m. for traffic on Buford Drive as police work to tow vehicles from the scene. All lanes opened again at 4:42 p.m. and police left the scene shortly after 5 p.m., Washington said.

There were four students and two adults on board the bus at the time of the collision, according to Channel 2 Action News.
