The I-85 southbound ramp to I-285 westbound reopened Thursday afternoon in DeKalb County after an overturned tractor-trailer blocked traffic, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

However, heavy delays remain in the Spaghetti Junction area. Earlier, the ramp was closed while crews tried to upright the vehicle, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation website. Traffic on I-85 was reportedly backed up to Highway 316.

GDOT officials urged drivers traveling I-85 southbound from Gwinnett County to use alternate routes to avoid delays. Those who want to use I-285 westbound can use the frontage road at Pleasantdale Road (exit 96) to bypass the area.

Also, a newer crash on I-85 southbound at Beaver Ruin Road blocked the high-occupancy lane. Traffic is backed up to the I-285 westbound ramp.
