A woman had to be freed Tuesday from her car after a concrete truck smashed into her Chevrolet Silverado on I-75 North in Cobb County, officials said.

The truck was leaving a construction site and began merging onto the left lane of the interstate when it failed to yield, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The crash happened near the Wade Green Road exit, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

Northbound lanes were blocked for nearly an hour before they reopened, the Traffic Center reported.

The woman’s condition and other details were not released.
