Two were injured late Sunday morning when a car slammed into a home near Buford, police said.

Around 11:45 a.m., the vehicle lost control and struck several mailboxes before hitting a tree then flipping end over end and hitting a house in the 2500 block of Trailing Ivy Way, Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

The car landed partially inside the side of the garage at the house, police said.

The two people in the car were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Pihera said.

The family that owns the house was at home at the time of the impact, but were unharmed, police said.

No charges have been filed against the driver, and police are trying to determine what caused the car to lose control.
