1 critical after 4-vehicle crash shuts down I-20 in Newton County for 2 hours

A four-vehicle wreck shut down I-20 in both directions for almost two hours in Newton County on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The Georgia State Patrol said an investigation revealed a Nissan Titan traveling west on I-20 struck a Chevrolet Impala from behind, causing the Impala to cross the grass median into eastbound traffic.
A Saturn Vue headed east lost control when attempting to miss the Impala and overturned multiple times, the GSP said. A Suburu Legacy traveling east then struck the Impala.
