Work to the water main temporarily affected the North Creek Office Park, the Paces Ferry Plaza and a fire hydrant, Atlanta Watershed officials said in a Tweet Wednesday.

The Department of Watershed Management delivered water to the site for affected businesses and residents who need it” Rukiya Campbell said in a statement.

Just before 2 p.m., a construction crew dropped a tree on the water main, causing water to shoot high in the air on Northside Parkway, according to Channel 2. The water could be seen from nearby I-75.

Earlier, Campbell said between 15 and 20 homes on Beechwood Drive as well as businesses between Beechwood Drive and West Paces Ferry Road were affected.

Other affected businesses in the area included: West Stride Shoe Store, Ace Hardware, Peros Pizza, AT&T Store, Carriage Cleaners, Lush Nail and Spa, Houston’s restaurant, and The Church of the Apostles.
