As another metro Atlanta weekend gets in gear, people will again have myriad traffic challenges.

Georgia Tech kicks things off with its annual spring football game at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Then the Atlanta Hawks will try to get a victory in Game 3 of their first-round NBA playoff series against the Washington Wizards. Game time is 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Philips Arena.

Because of the Hawks game, the Tim McGraw-Faith Hill "Soul2Soul" concert has been shifted to Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Philips Arena.

Speaking of music, the SweetWater 420 Fest, which also features comedy acts, is already under way at Centennial Olympic Park. It picks up again at noon Saturday and Sunday and runs late into the evening both days.

Beware: The ongoing repairs to the I-85 bridge will pose a travel obstacle.

And the sinkhole that forced city officials to shut down a portion of 5th Street in Midtown this week still is under repair.

The area of 5th Street at Cypress Street will remain closed, City of Atlanta spokeswoman Christina Cruz-Benton said Friday. The sidewalk on both sides will be closed to pedestrians.

During the closure, 5th Street at West Peachtree Street is open only to drivers who need to access the Biltmore or AT&T parking decks.
