A 2-year-old boy drowned in Paulding County early Tuesday evening, according to authorities.
Paulding County Sheriff's Office investigators are probing the case to determine whether there was negligence involved, spokesman Cpl. Ashley Henson said.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. at a home off Senator Road in southern Paulding County, Henson said.
Authorities did not immediately provide details concerning the drowning.
No charges have been filed at this time, Henson said.
