The third suspect in the weekend shooting death of a Woodstock man has been captured, authorities said.

Benson Kyle Lloyd, of Jasper, was arrested Wednesday without incident while teeing off inside the PGA Tour Superstore on George Busbee Parkway in Kennesaw, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said.

“He was caught by surprise,” he said. “I think he thought it was the last place investigators would think to look for him. I don’t think he had any idea investigators knew where he was until they put their hands on him.”

Lloyd, 28, was wanted in connection with the murder of 47-year-old Christopher Pierce, the man found dead Sunday at his Misty Hollow Way home.

Authorities on Tuesday tracked two other suspects to a Dawson County home on Harmony Church Road.

Krystle Taylor, 27, of Dawsonville, was taken into custody immediately, but SWAT units from Dawson, Cherokee and Forsyth counties surrounded the home and waited roughly four hours to apprehend 27-year-old John Taylor, of Acworth.

About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Baker said John Taylor made himself vulnerable.

“He eventually came to the door and one of the SWAT officers was able to Taze him,” he said.

Despite the same last name, the Taylors are not related. They are boyfriend and girlfriend, Baker said.

The Taylors and Lloyd have each been charged with felony murder in connection with Pierce’s shooting death, he said.

Police have not released information about the motive in the killing. All three suspects have criminal histories, and John Taylor is a convicted felon, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was released from prison in November 2008 after serving 21 months following a conviction on drug charges, records show.

The Taylors and Lloyd are being held without bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. The Taylors will go before a judge at the Cherokee County Courthouse at 2 p.m. Thursday, Baker said.
