1. Henry County physician struck, killed while riding bike with group. A person driving a 2002 Infiniti was negotiating a curve on Lower Woolsey Road in Hampton when he came up on the cyclists and struck John A. Harsch from behind, Henry police spokesman Joey Smith said in a media release. Three other cyclists in the group were not harmed. [Read more]

2. DeKalb city aims to be first in Ga. to decriminalize marijuana. Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry said the council's public safety committee this month will review whether to make possession of less than one ounce of marijuana a ticket-only offense, putting it on the same level as a run-of-the-mill traffic violation. 3. Prince's Atlanta concerts postponed. Prince has postponed his two Thursday concerts at Atlanta's Fox Theatre due to illness (he reportedly has the flu). [Read more]

4. Jade Lemonds of Atlanta band Injected has died. According to another Facebook posting by Butch Walker, who produced Injected's 2002 major label debut, "Burn it Black," Lemons apparently died from an overdose. [Read more]

5. Woman found dead on UT campus ID'ed as college freshman. Austin police investigators want the public's help in identifying a person of interest seen in video footage taken near where a UT freshman was found dead on campus earlier this week. [Read more]
