Here are five things you need to know tonight:

1. Cobb County police were investigating a shooting early Wednesday at an apartment complex near Austell that left the son of a retired Atlanta police officer dead. [Read more]

2. Cobb Commission Chairman Tim Lee said the proposed bridge over Interstate 285, which would link SunTrust Park with the Galleria Centre, is not on schedule to be completed in time for the Braves first season in SunTrust Park. [Read more]

3. Rasha Sherrer, whose brother is Georgia assistant football coach Kevin Sherrer, was found dead on Tuesday, as part of what is believed to be a double homicide. [Read more]
