2. Polian: Falcons are 'crumbling right before our very eyes'
While commenting on SiriusXM's NFL Radio on Tuesday, longtime former NFL executive Bill Polian had quite a lot to say about the Atlanta Falcons. Polian said he thought the team played hard, but wasn't a fan of all of the fights, penalties, coverages and more. He said the team, which has dropped six straight games after starting the season 5-0 and then 6-1, "is crumbling right before our very eyes." Read more.
3. DeKalb backs development of GM factory site, awaits schools' support
The DeKalb County Commission unanimously agreed to invest in the redevelopment effort of a closed-down General Motors factory site along the Perimeter near I-85. However, there are still significant challenges that remain before the 165-acre site can be transformed into a vibrant multi-use area with retail shops, parks and more. Read more.
4. Nkemdiche releases statement denying synthetic drug use
Ole Miss defensive star Robert Nkemdiche released a statement Tuesday in which he said he did not use synthetic marijuana prior to his recent fall from an Atlanta hotel. Read more.
5. Ross Harris' statements after his son's death didn't hold up, police say
The lead detective in the Justin Ross Harris murder case, involving Harris intentionally leaving his 22-month-old son in a sweltering SUV for seven hours, testified Tuesday that evidence contradicting Harris' initial statements to police provided sufficient probable cause for them to obtain search warrants for Harris' electronic devices.
