1. Voting irregularities alleged in LaVista Hills election
Georgia state authorities opened an investigation Thursday into allegations of possible tampering and election fraud in LaVista Hills. According to Channel 2 Action News, a DeKalb election supervisor alleged that he found a stray memory card Wednesday with results from the Briarlake Elementary precinct and it is currently unknown if those votes were counted in the total. 2. Jack Mallard, lead prosecutor in Wayne Williams trial, dies at 81
Mallard, who spent more than 40 years convicting killers in Atlanta's infamous child murders, died Thursday. Visitation for Mallard will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home this Saturday and the service will be held Sunday at Cumming First United Methodist Church. Read more.

5. Liberty: Braves' revenue drops $16 million, but income increases
Braves owner Liberty Media said the franchise's revenue dropped $16 million this year through Sept. 30 "primarily due to lower game attendance and decreased concession sales." Liberty's filing, however, shows the Braves were more profitable. Read more.
