Q: I was wondering what has happened to one of the numerous WSB traffic reporters. I have not heard Steve Winslow in a number of weeks. Is he still with the station?
—Robert Atchley, Tucker
A: Winslow was promoted at the start of 2017 as the full-time, overnight weeknight reporter, he told Q&A on the News. He covers the Traffic Center from 8:30 p.m until 4:30 a.m. Sunday evening through Thursday evening/early Friday morning.
“Where News 95.5/AM-750 WSB has been Atlanta’s leader in news, weather and traffic over the years, we recently expanded our coverage,” he said in an email. “I’m honored to have been promoted to this position, and love the flexibility it gives my co-workers in the traffic center, as well as my family at home, as my wife and I have two ‘not-so-young’ boys who are now preparing to head off to college and high school, respectively, this fall.”
Q: What happened to the display of “Gone with the Wind” dolls at the Margaret Mitchell House museum?
—Sally Scofield, Lawrenceville
A: "We rotate objects to tell new stories, when we acquire new artifacts, and for the care and conservation of pieces in our collection," according to comments provided to Q&A on the News from Jessica Rast VanLanduyt, the Atlanta History Center's deputy mission officer.
The center operates the Margaret Mitchell House, which is located on Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta.
