Q: What has happened to Lisa Rayam from Fox 5 and Erin Coleman from Channel 2? Why has there been so much turnover on Atlanta stations lately?
—Brenda Clark, Newnan
A: Coleman said last month that she's leaving Channel 2 Action News to move to her native Philadelphia, the AJC reported.
Coleman had been with WSB for seven years.
“With baby (No.) 2 ready to make her debut shortly and a 21 month old at home, I’ve decided to leave the Peach State and head to the City of Brotherly Love, my hometown,” Coleman wrote on her Facebook page on June 30.
Rayam, who had been with Fox 5 for 22 years, is no longer with the station, the AJC reported.
There have been many changes at Atlanta stations the past 18 months, including several at CBS46 in 2015.
Personal, personnel and content decisions figure into changes as stations attempt to increase ratings.
In the Atlanta market, Channel 2 Action News generally is No. 1, followed by Fox 5, 11 Alive and CBS46.
Q: Neil Cavuto of Fox News disappeared from his TV shows several months ago. What happened to him and will he return?
—Allen Trent, Canton
A: Cavuto, who is a senior vice president, anchor and managing editor of business news for both Fox News and Fox Business Network, is recovering from open-heart surgery on June 20.
He “came through it with flying colors,” Fox News stated in a statement.
Cavuto, 57, has been off the air since May 31 and is “slated to return” sometime this year.
