Q: According to the TV listings in the sports section, Fox Sports 1 is supposed to be carrying NASCAR’s Xfinity races on Saturday. I have U-verse and the channel is dark during the races. What’s the problem?
—Ron Lyle, Cumming
A: AT&T, which owns U-verse, isn't paying the additional costs that Fox Sports requires for several live sporting events, including NASCAR Xfinity series races and eight golf tournaments, including the first two rounds of the U.S. Open. Fox Sports 1 also was blacked out to U-verse customers during 17 Big East basketball and several MLS games this season.
“While it’s important to us that we provide our customers with the content they want, we don’t believe that it is reasonable to pass on the added costs of carrying this programming to our customers,” AT&T said in a statement. “We won’t agree to a deal that would cause our customers to pay unreasonable rates.”
Fox Sports has said its deal with U-verse “does not cover dozens of live sporting events.” The live programming wasn’t a part of the original deal between AT&T and Fox Sports and Fox Sports 1, which went on the air in 2013.

—Tony Gardner, Cumming
A: There are 3.417 million drivers in Georgia who have "Donor" on their license, a DDS spokeswoman told Q&A on the News in an email. There are approximately 7.939 million licensed drivers in the state.
