A former Atlanta police officer being held on charges he killed a woman he met on Craigslist told investigators he has been using the site to arrange for sex for six to eight months.

Hapeville Police Detective Jason Dyer testified in a Friday hearing for murder suspect Tahreem Zeus Rana “(Rana) stated that he had been using the site for about six to eight months; that he was commonly looking for a girl that was ‘clean and cheap’ was his statement,” Channel 2 Action News reported.

Rana, 23, has been held without bond since being arrested on murder and arson charges last month. He was an Atlanta police officer at the time he is accused of killing Vernicia Woodard, 26.

Channel 2 reported investigators said Rana was the last person to talk to Woodard who he admitted contacting on the website to hire her for sex.

Police said Woodard was shot three times and set on fire. Her body was found Aug. 22 on Elm Street in Hapeville.
