A 14-year-old South Carolina girl was killed Wednesday morning after a car in which she and five other juveniles were inside reportedly failed to heed a stop sign.

The crash happened about 6 a.m. in Walhalla.

Hailee Pacheco, police told WSAV, was not wearing a seat belt and was in the backseat when the crash happened.

South Carolina troopers said the car in which Hailee was riding ran a stop sign and was hit by another vehicle on Highway 28.

One of the two people in the other car was injured. No details have been released on any of the car’s five other occupants.
