A 16-year-old was arrested Thursday night after allegedly driving through a cemetery and damaging graves, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The teenager, whose name was not released, is accused of damaging several grave markers and grave sites at Farmington Cemetery, located on Old Farmington Road in Watkinsville, the Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page. The juvenile was charged with DUI, unlicensed to drive, underage possession of alcohol, criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree and striking a fixed object.

No court date has been set and the incident remains under investigation.
