A reward is being offered for information on two men who escaped from the Tattnall County Jail last month.

Officials say Chad Everette Dasher and Raymond Thomas Smith escaped Jan. 24 through the roof of the Tattnall County Jail. The two should be considered “armed and extremely dangerous,” according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Dasher, who is described as 5-foot-9 and about 140 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair, was being held in connection with a multi-county crime spree that occurred in Georgia in 2012, the news release said. Officials said his criminal history includes arrests for burglary, firearms, fraud, narcotics, resisting arrest and traffic offenses. He has a history of fleeing from law enforcement.

Smith, who is described as 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, had been arrested on multiple counts of aggravated child molestation, authorities said. His criminal history includes arrests for assault, firearms and obstruction.

The marshals service is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the arrest of each man. The reward money cannot be claimed anonymously, and callers who wish to collect the reward should be prepared to give authorities their name and contact information, according to the news release.

Anyone with information about Dasher and Smith should call the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office at 912-557-6777 or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 800-336-0102. Tips can also be emailed to usms.wanted@usdoj.gov.
