An SUV drove into the UPS Store at Lenox Marketplace early Monday.

Nobody was seriously hurt in the crash, although the woman driving the SUV was taken to a hospital as a precaution, according to Atlanta police.

Security said it appears that the SUV was in a parking garage that faces the front of the UPS Store. It stopped in front of the store for a few seconds before it crashed through the store wall.

Owner John Anderson said the store appeared to have lost some glass framework, cabinets, carpet and product. But Anderson said it’s “not a big deal.”

“We’ll try to make the best of this,” he said. “We’ve got great customers, and I’m sure they’ll understand it, too. And the good news is: first words out of my managers mouth was that nobody was hurt.”

Anderson said this location has the highest sales volume of his seven UPS stores.

“We’ll try to stay open [and] run this kind of like an open-air vegetable market,” he said. “It’ll be kind of a different thing today.”

Atlanta police and fire officials have no further details about how the crash occurred or whether the driver faces charges at this time.
