Authorities in Clayton County are looking for a man suspected of burglary and rape in Jonesboro early Sunday morning.

According to police, about 2:40 a.m. a man broke into a house on Sycamore Drive. Upon entering the home, he sexually assaulted a female resident and stole a 42-inch television and a cell phone. He was in the residence between five and 10 minutes and spoke at length with the victim, according to a news release from Sheriff Victor Hill.

The suspect, who is described as a black male in his early- to mid-20s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-10 with a thin build and a mustache, told the woman he had a gun, but she never saw it, according to the release.
