Grab your coats, scarves and gloves, metro Atlanta.
Sunday morning begins with temps in the low 20s across the region. Some areas of North Georgia might not go above freezing all day.
Clear and sunny skies persist throughout the day — “clear skies allowing for those temperatures to really fall,” said Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Jennifer Lopez.
A freeze warning was issued Saturday and will end at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The day should not be as blustery as it was all day Saturday. “It should be a beautiful Sunday, less wind around,” Lopez said.
As the day progresses, temperatures will rise into the low 50s. A look ahead for this week includes rising temperatures to the 60s and some rain for the middle of the week.
