State prison inmate who walked away from work detail back in custody
A state prison inmate who walked away from his required storm damage cleanup work Tuesday afternoon is back in custody, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office told Channel 2 Action News.
Alfred Bridges, 18, walked away in Hall County. Authorities found him two hours after his escape.
Bridges has been serving a five-year sentence for aggravated battery at Phillips State Prison in Buford.
