ROME, Ga. —

A live online video stream from a bald eagle's nest at Berry College shows the family of eagles has gained a new member.

One tiny gray hatchling became visible in the nest Saturday, alongside one as-yet unhatched egg. An adult eagle carefully snuggled against the eaglet and the egg, getting up occasionally to check on them.

The college has been live-streaming video from the nest, showing the daily activities of the two adult bald eagles, which have been nesting near the school's athletic and recreation center. One egg appeared Jan. 14 and another came two days later.

The public can follow the pair 24 hours a day at www.georgiawildlife.com/BerryEagleCam, as well as on Berry College's website (www.berry.edu/eaglecam ).

The eagles also have their own Facebook page: www.facebook.com/berrycollegeeagles.
