Election officials will have a few months to fix the massive problems voters faced in Tuesday's primaries before the Aug. 11 runoffs.

If no candidate received a majority of votes in Tuesday’s primaries, the two leading hopefuls square off in the runoff to decide who becomes the party’s nominee.

The winner of the runoff will advance to the general election in November.

The runoff date was moved earlier this year when the primary was bumped to June because of health concerns brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
