The Georgia General Assembly at a glance for Monday, Day 11 of the 2018 legislative session:

Key hearing: Members of the House Judiciary Committee (non-civil) will meet at 1 p.m. Monday to debate a proposed distracted driving bill, House Bill 673, which would require drivers to use hands-free devices while operating their vehicles. The hearing will feature remarks from representatives with Gov. Nathan Deal's Office of Highway Safety, the Department of Public Safety and the mother of a woman who was killed in a crash in 2015.

On the floor: The Senate will debate two bills when they return for day 11 at 10 a.m. Monday. Both bills, Senate Bill 101 and Senate Bill 129, would make changes to the retirement programs for employees of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and those who have serviced at least two years in the military.

Under the Gold Dome: Monday is Cervical Cancer Awareness Day and Georgia Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers Day at the Dome. Expect to see organizations that care about these issues in the Capitol.
