South Carolina officials have discovered the body of a child, who had been missing since last week after swimming with a group of friends.

Several agencies, including Berkeley County Sheriff's Department, Berkeley County Marine Patrol and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, were called to the Moncks Corner area of Berkeley County on May 6 concerning three youths that had jumped off the Strawberry Chapel train trestle into a body of water, according to news station WJCL.

Two of the three teenagers were found without injury last week, but the search had continued until Sunday for the third child, who was reportedly 15 years old, according to ABC News 4.

Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office got assistance in the five-day search and recovery from South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Pimlico Rural Volunteer Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard, according to reports.

As of Monday morning, the sheriff’s office was contacting the next of kin, so the teen has not been identified.

The father of one of the teenagers who survived the dive told a news station that young people in the area had been jumping from the railroad span into the nearby waterway for decades prior, according to ABC News 4.
