Blankets in cribs would be out. Sleeping in car seats and playpens would be a no-no. Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) is holding a community forum and two webinars in March to review expanded recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics on safe sleep environments in child care programs. The objective of the recommendations: reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sudden Unexpected Death Syndrome (SUIDS). The community forum is Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Atlanta Technical College, Building C, 1560 Metropolitan Parkway. Webinars are set for March 7 and 14. More info: www.decal.ga.gov.
