A Clayton County school bus driver ordered students to the floor after shots were fired nearby Wednesday morning, the school system said.

Around 7:45 a.m., shots were fired at a school bus stop in the Summerwind at Tara apartment complex off Tara Boulevard, according to Vicki Constantinedes, spokeswoman for Clayton County schools.

No bullets hit the bus and no injuries were reported, Constantinedes said. It was not immediately known what school the students aboard the bus attend.

Clayton County police are assisting school police with the investigation to determine who fired the shots.
