A 16-month-old child reportedly died in a drowning incident in a residential pool in Clermont, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Fire and EMS personnel had already begun resuscitation efforts when deputies arrived at the scene about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Deputy John Marshall said in a statement.
The unidentified toddler was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The child was later pronounced dead, Marshall said.
The criminal investigations division is investigating the incident.
No other details were immediately available.
