Communities across Georgia will offer shelter from the cold Thursday night.
The City of Atlanta will continue to operate two warming centers, one at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center at 3404 Delmar Lane, and the other at the Central Park Recreation Center at 400 Merritts Avenue. They will provide shelter and light refreshments for those seeking refuge from the below normal temperatures.
The American Red Cross said it will operate shelters Thursday night for people who cannot stay in their homes because of power outages and other emergency conditions:

- Jackson County, Commerce Civic Center, 110 State St., Commerce, GA 30529.
- Lumpkin County, St. Paul United Methodist Church, 14 Martins Ford Rd., Dahlonega, GA 30533.
- Rabun County, Clayton Baptist Church, 120 South Church St., Clayton, GA 30525.
