A record number of school transportation workers from metro Atlanta and around the state are scheduled to meet on Jekyll Island June 16 to June 19. They will be attending the 50th annual conference of the Georgia Association for Pupil Transportation. GAPT’ members represent both public and private schools and include several contractors that operate transportation departments for school systems. GAPT member school systems make up nine of the top 100 largest school fleets in the country transporting over one million students twice daily on almost 15,000 buses.
