A Savannah teenager was indicted on Wednesday in the November 2019 shooting death of his 13-year-old girlfriend.
Jeremiah Tayeon Seaton, 17, was indicted in the death of La'Meya Mitchell on Nov. 15, 2019, according to a Chatham County grand jury.
Seaton is facing a felony-murder charge by committing the offense of murder, irrespective of malice, while in commission of a felony of aggravated assault.

The indictment includes counts for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Savannah police said they arrived at a residence in the 200 block of Seminole Street and found Mitchell dead on the scene outside the residence.
Police said Seaton left the scene and later arrived at a police station to report he had shot his girlfriend at the location.
