Roswell sets meeting on parkway project

Roswell’s Department of Transportation will hold an open house on the proposed Big Creek Parkway project 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Mimosa Elementary School, 1550 Warsaw Road.

The parkway would start at Warsaw Road just north of Holcomb Bridge Road, extend east across Ga. 400 and terminate at Holcomb Bridge. The city is considering the long-term project to improve traffic flow and better connect eastern and western parts of the city. Officials caution that there’s no funding identified for right-of-way acquisition or construction.

City staffers will present what’s called “a locally preferred alternative” for alignment of the project and hear questions and comments.
