Richmond County School System revises Class of 2020 graduation schedule

The Richmond County School System is planning graduations for the Class of 2020 in July at the James Brown Arena, according to news station WRDW.

The graduation schedule was revised in the interest of public health and in accordance with state mandates, WRDW reported.

Graduates will receive a set number of tickets for family and friends. The exact number will be announced later, according to a release from the Richmond County School System.

“Graduation is a special celebration for our students and families,” Dr. Kenneth Bradshaw, the Richmond County School System superintendent,  said in the news release. “We are excited to hold graduation in July and I appreciate the community’s support for our graduates throughout these unique times.”

Here is the updated graduation schedule that was provided by the school system:

Tuesday, July 21
Cross Creek High School – 8 a.m.
Davidson Fine Arts – 11 a.m.
Glenn Hills High School – 2 p.m.
Hephzibah High School – 5 p.m.

Wednesday, July 22
Laney High School – 8 a.m.
Josey High School – 11 a.m.
A.R. Johnson Magnet – 2 p.m.
Westside High School – 5 p.m.

Thursday, July 23
Academy of Richmond County – 8 a.m.
Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School – 11 a.m.
Performance Learning Center – 2 p.m.
Butler High School – 5 p.m.
