Road crews have several projects planned in the next couple of days before construction is suspended for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s holidays, but this weekend’s road work could be delayed by rain, especially on Saturday.
Here’s a look at planned lane closures this weekend:
Bridge work will require closing two eastbound lanes of I-20 for about a mile beginning at Six Flags Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Saturday.
Sign work on the southwest quadrant of the Perimeter will close lanes in both directions between I-85 and Washington Road all weekend.
One southbound lane of Ga. 400 between I-285 and the Glenridge Connector will be closed from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for fiber optic cable installation.
The Georgia Department of Transportation will suspend construction-related lane closures from 5 a.m. Tuesday through 10 p.m. Dec. 28 and again from 5 a.m. Dec. 31 until 5 a.m. Jan. 2 for the Christmas and New Year’s weekends.
