A bit after 8 p.m. Monday, about 50 protesters continued to sit peacefully on the Old College lawn of the University of Georgia campus in Athens.

There were no signs that they were readying to leave, with some protesters coming and going for evening food runs.

Four UGA police officers monitored the protest from about 75 yards away.

The atmosphere was calm and quiet.
