An Ellenwood man previously convicted of sex crimes was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison for prostituting a minor and other offenses.
The sentence for Terrance Anderson, 42, also includes seven years of supervised release and restitution to his victims of more than $150,000, federal officials said.
In 2001, Anderson was sentenced to seven years in prison for sex trafficking-related crimes. Upon his release, he continued the same activities, authorities said.
“This defendant lived off the sexual exploiting of minors, even after previously serving a federal sentence for sex trafficking-related conduct,” U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in an emailed statement.
Authorities said Anderson ran a prostitution ring from February 2008 through December 2011 where he “advertised the sexual services of a minor and young women,” on several websites, a news release said. Under his watch, several women, including a 17-year-old, 18-year-old and 24-year-old, were taken across state lines so they could perform “numerous commercial sex acts for his financial gain,” authorities said.
“Today’s sentencing removes a dangerous individual from our streets who has repeatedly shown a callous disregard for the basic human rights of others,” said Ricky Maxwell of the FBI Atlanta Field Office.
