Police are still searching for a suspect in a fatal Sandy Springs shooting Friday morning.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Tranquilino “Frankie” Garcia-Lorenzo in connection with the shooting death of Freddie Antonio Rosales-Ruano, police said.
Police are asking for the public’s help to find Garcia-Lorenzo. They have also called upon U.S. Border Patrol and Immigration and National Services to be on the lookout for him, Sandy Springs police Capt. Steve Rose said Tuesday.
Around 10 a.m., police say Rosales-Ruano, also known as Fredis Antonio Rosales, was shot on a sidewalk in front of a shopping plaza at 215 Northwood Drive.
Witnesses told police they saw a man running from the scene of the shooting wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket with a white stripe around the sleeves and a dark colored hat, authorities said.
The motive is unknown.
