Marietta police detectives investigating last September’s disappearance of a 27-year-old woman served a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at the Cobb County house where the woman’s boyfriend lives with his mother.

Tiffany Michelle Whitton was last seen about 2 a.m. Sept. 13, 2013, in front of the Walmart store in the 200 block of Cobb Parkway, according to Marietta police spokesman David Baldwin.

“No one has heard from Whitton since the date of her disappearance and investigators are not ruling out foul play at this time,” Baldwin said in February. “Whitton has a young daughter that has not had any contact with her mother since her disappearance.”

Baldwin said Tuesday morning that Marietta detectives, in conjunction with the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office, were serving a search warrant at a home on Elkhart Circle, in a neighborhood off Powder Springs Road south of Marietta.

He said that the home is the residence of Whitton’s boyfriend, Ashley Caudle.

Caudle is currently in the Cobb County jail after being arrested in March on unrelated drug, weapons and probation violation charges.
