Police: Man shoots woman, kills self in northwest Atlanta

A man shot a woman in what police called a domestic dispute outside a northwest Atlanta apartment building Monday, then killed himself.

The incident happened about 12:30 p.m. in 400 block of McAfee Street, near Hunnicutt Street.

The woman, who police said appears to be in her mid-30s, was shot multiple times but survived. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The man appeared to be in his late 30s. He was dead at the scene.

Neither was identified and police are continuing their investigation.
