A Cumming man who left his two children watching a movie in the back of a running SUV has been arrested and faces a reckless conduct charge, Milton police said.

Joseph Iatauro, 31, went into a Milton Target on Monday and emerged from the store to find police waiting for him. According to a Milton police report, Iatauro left his two children, ages 2 and 4, in the back of the running SUV while he bought a few items in the store. He told police he was in the store approximately 10 minutes.

Iatauro’s wife picked up the children from the scene, and he was taken to the Alpharetta jail. It is not clear if he is still in custody.
