A man who authorities say injured a police officer in Woodstock, then led officers on a chase through Cherokee and Cobb counties Friday morning is in custody.
Woodstock police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan told Channel 2 Action News the pursuit started on Trickum Road after the suspect allegedly committed an “aggravated assault on a police officer” with his vehicle.
The chase ended in Cobb County on I-75 near Delk Road. The suspect was arrested near an abandoned hotel, according to Channel 2.
Authorities from Woodstock, Cherokee and Cobb were involved in the pursuit.
